APIs, or Application Programming Interfaces, often use security mechanisms called “access tokens” to ensure secure communication between different systems. These tokens are essentially temporary keys that allow interaction with the API. Access tokens have a limited lifespan and can expire. This is done to ensure ongoing security and prevent misuse. When a user’s token expires, the platform can no longer perform certain actions on their behalf until a new valid token is obtained. If your access token expires on Stract, you will be notified via a message in the platform’s sidebar. When this happens, it is crucial that you log back into the platform where the token expired to renew your access. <\/p>\n

The schedule that has an expired token will also show the error sign and the message in the last log, similar to “Token has Expired”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is important to note that as long as the tokens are not renewed, the platform’s query schedules with Expired Tokens will not work. This is because, without a valid token, Stract does not have the necessary authorization to carry out these tasks on your behalf.<\/p>\n

How to solve the expired tokens error<\/h3>\n

If your token expires, log back into the platform via the sidebar in Stract. This will ensure that you continue to enjoy all the platform’s features without interruption. To log back in to the platforms, simply select the desired platform and click on the “Authorize new profile” link. Then log in to the desired account: <\/p>\n
